ABOUT KELLIE HOLTE

Developmental Cognitive Disabilities: Severe-Profound Teacher

This is my third year teaching at the Winona Senior High School.  I grew up in Winona with parents, my brother Kyle, and my sister Brooke.  My love for teaching was inspired by my mom who has been an Infant Teacher for 26 years.  My love for special education was inspired by my brother Kyle who has autism. He is my greatest teacher, and I am honored to work in this profession.  When I'm not in my classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, art, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family.

Education

I attended Winona State University where I received degrees in Developmental Disabilities and Learning Disabilities.  This year, I will be finishing my Master's in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorders through Concordia University St. Paul.

Our Educational Assistants

Room 145 is lucky to have four of the best Education Assistants around Peggy, Jonas, Barb, and Jaime.  Their dedication to our kids never ceases to amaze. They are the backbone of our classroom, and we could not be successful without them. Read more about them here!
